' for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.'
'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.'
Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
Ready Rides was established in 2012 to provide free transportation to medical and other essential appointments for seniors and the disabled in Northwood and the surrounding communities of Barrington, Strafford, Nottingham, Durham., Madbury and Newmarket. All rides are given by volunteer drivers, using their own vehicles.
Missions giving isn't just about money that gets sent far away, it is the little things that get done every day, with kindness and giving hearts that makes our church special. Right here, in our town, we love and support those in our community.
Not only do we offer a free soup lunch to the community every Thursday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, but the St. Joseph Catholic church serves a free meal every Monday evening from 5:00 - 6:00 pm.
There are also a number of community food pantries that can be accessed if you are in need.
We are a church with a heart which seeks to know God
through Jesus Christ and live according to our beliefs.
